Silicon Carbide (SiC)
The ultimate ceramic material — exceptional hardness, thermal conductivity, and chemical resistance for demanding industrial applications
What is Silicon Carbide?
Silicon Carbide (SiC) is a synthetic crystalline compound of silicon and carbon, renowned as one of the hardest materials available — approaching diamond in hardness. It exhibits exceptional thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and outstanding resistance to oxidation and chemical attack.
Available in black and green variants, SiC is indispensable in refractories, abrasives, ceramics, and advanced semiconductor applications.

Black vs. Green Silicon Carbide
Black Silicon Carbide: Standard grade with 97-98.5% purity. Excellent for general abrasive and refractory applications. Higher toughness makes it ideal for grinding wheels and heavy-duty applications.
Green Silicon Carbide: Ultra-high purity (98.5%+). Finer crystal structure provides superior hardness and sharper cutting edges. Preferred for precision grinding, semiconductor applications, and high-performance refractories.
